Bound Group - Imported Exams Description

Bound Group - Imported Exams refers to a group of two or more exams imported from the SIS that have been designated as requiring assignment to the same location. The Interface allows you to manually add such groups so they will be properly imported into 25Live with binding location assignment relationships.

To Add a Bound Group - Imported Exams Group

  1. From the Interface Configuration menu, choose Data Bindings.
  2. Choose Bound Group - Imported Exams Group from the Type drop-down.
  3. Click the Term Code edit icon, select the term code(s) of the exams you want to include in the Bound group - Imported Exams Group, then click Done.
     
  4. If you want to narrow the search results to a specific exam or exams, enter the full or partial exam name in the Keyword field.
  5. Click Search. The Bound Group - Imported Exams Group or the term code(s) you selected and the full or partial exam name you entered (if you did) are displayed. If no groups are displayed, there are are no bound group - imported exams groups based on your search criteria.
  6. Click Add New Group to open the Add Bound Group - Imported Exams window.

  7. Enter a meaningful name for the group (40 character maximum).
  8. Select additional or other term codes if needed.

  9. In the first Bound Meetings field, begin entering the SIS unique identifier of one of the exams in the group, then choose it from the drop-down list. If you don’t know how to access the unique identifier, contact your SIS database manager. In the second Bound Meetings field, begin entering the SIS unique identifier of another exam in the group, then choose it from the drop-down list. To add more exams to the group, click the “Add New Value” link and begin entering the unique identifier for the next exam in the group. Repeat for all remaining exams in the group.
  10. If you don’t want the group to be active at this time, select "No." The default is "Yes" (active).
  11. Click Submit.
