Define Location Assignments (Campus Solutions and Universal only)

Choose one of these options:

  • “Construct using Building and Room Codes” if you want the location assignments in the SIS represented in 25Live as Building Code or Building Description <building delimiter> Room Code. This setting must be selected to use your Translate SIS Building Codes data translation and to specify the Building Delimiter setting below.
  • “Use Facility ID” if you want the location assignment Facility ID identified in the SIS to be the location assignment in 25Live. This setting must be selected to use your SIS Facility ID’s to 25Live Locations translation.

Building Delimiter

Select the character you want used to separate building code and room code in the 25Live location names of imported rooms. It's generally  recommended that you use a single blank space as the delimiter, but if you have building codes which include the room name you should use something else. For example, if you have a location in 25Live named BLDG C 102 and your delimiter is a single space, LYNX can't tell whether the building code is BLDG C and the room number 102, or the building code is BLDG and room number is C 102. In this case, you should separate them with another character; for example, BLDG C*102.

Location Assignment Partial Availability

Choose one of these options:

  • “Assign the location anyway” if you want the location assigned in the SIS to be assigned to the imported 25Live section, even if it is only available for some of the section’s dates/times.
  • “Do not assign the location” if you don’t want the location assigned in the SIS to be assigned to the imported section in 25Live unless it is available for all the section’s dates/times.

Note: This setting applies only to sections imported via the LYNX Interface.

Shared Locations

The names of SIS rooms that should always be marked as “shared” locations by the 25Live import process. This is commonly used for rooms labeled "TBA" or "OFF CAMPUS" where double-booking can't occur because they aren't actually rooms.

To use, begin typing, then select the first room name. Click “Add New Value” to enter the next, and so on.

Include Location Preferences

Choose one of these options:

  • “No” if you don’t want SIS room assignments treated as 25Live location preferences on import.
  • “Yes” if you do want SIS room assignments treated as 25Live location preferences on import. This is useful in cases where unexpected conflicts prevent a location from being assigned to a section–the assignment is not made, but the preference remains to allow users to see the section's preferred room.

Add Location Requirements as Event Categories (Campus Solutions, Banner, Colleague, and Universal only)

Choose one of these options:

  • “No” if you don’t want SIS location requirements added as 25Live Event Categories on import.
  • “Yes” if you do want SIS location requirements added as 25Live Event Categories on import. This setting is useful if you want to be able to search sections by their requested features, since 25Live allows searching by categories but not by preferences. This setting must be set to “Yes” to use your SIS Location Requirements to 25Live Event Categories data translation.

Define Location Requirements (Colleague only)

Choose one of these options:

  • “Equipment” if you want Location Requirements drawn from the Colleague Equipment table.
  • “Room Characteristics" if you want Location Requirements drawn from the Colleague Room Characteristics table.

Important: If you change this setting, you must refresh the translation results on any translation table that converts location requirements to location features or event categories.

Remove SIS assignments on export?

Choose one of these options:

  • “Yes” if you want the manual export process to remove the location assigned in the SIS if an exported section has no location assignment in 25Live. This is the default and recommended.
  • “No” if you don’t want the manual export process to remove the location assigned in the SIS if an exported section has no location assignment in 25Live.
