Define Primary Organization

Choose one of these options:

  • “Use Department Codes to Organizations translation” to use your defined SIS department codes to 25Live primary organizations translation rule to specify the primary organization of each imported section.
  • “Use Subject Codes to Organizations translation” to use your defined SIS subject codes to 25Live primary organizations translation rule to specify the primary organization of each imported section.
  • "Use Department Codes + Institution Codes to Organizations translation" to use your defined SIS department codes + institution codes to 25Live primary organizations translation rule to specify the primary organization of each imported section.
  • "Use Subject Codes + Institution Codes to Organizations translation" to use your defined SIS subject codes + institution codes to 25Live Primary Organizations translation rule to specify the primary organization of each imported section.
  • "Use Department Codes + Campus Codes to Organizations translation" to use your defined SIS department codes + campus codes to 25Live primary organizations translation rule to specify the primary organization of each imported section.
  • "Use Subject Codes + Campus Codes to Organizations translation" to use your defined SIS subject codes + campus codes to 25Live Primary Organizations translation rule to specify the primary organization of each imported section.

Organization Type

This setting determines what 25Live organization type will be used for organizations imported from your SIS.

Define Scheduler on imported Sections

Choose one of these options:

  • “Use the default scheduler” if you want the scheduler entered in the “Default scheduler” configuration setting (see below) for all imported sections (those with preassigned locations and those without).
  • “Use the user defined as the scheduler on the location assignments. If none is found, use the default scheduler” if you want the following to happen:

When a section is imported from the SIS with a preassigned location, the Interface checks to see if there is a default scheduler for that location specified in the 25Live Administration Utility. If there is, the section is imported with that user as the section’s scheduler. If there isn’t, the section is imported with the default scheduler specified in the Default Scheduler configuration setting. When a section is imported from the SIS with no preassigned location, the Interface imports it with the default scheduler specified in the Default scheduler configuration setting.

Begin typing, then select the 25Live scheduler.

Include Section Instructors

Choose one of these options:

  • “Include Instructor as text (Event Description and Event Comments)” if you want the SIS instructor associated with each imported section entered in the 25Live Event Description and Event Comments fields.
  • “Include instructors as event contact roles in 25Live, in addition text” if you want the import process to do the following:

Try to match the primary instructor in the SIS to a 25Live contact and, if a match is found, put that instructor in the section’s “Instructor” Event Contact Role in 25Live and enter the SIS instructor associated with each imported section in the 25Live Event Description and Event Comments fields.

Instructor Contacts Are Matched on Email Address

Instructor contacts are matched based on unique email addresses. So if “Jane Smith” is designated as the instructor of a class in the SIS, she will be listed as the Instructor contact role in 25Live only if there is a contact record with the correct matching email address, no matter how many “Jane Smith” contacts there are in 25Live.

Create Instructor

Choose one of these options:

  • "No" if you don't want a new contact created in 25Live if an imported section's associated instructor doesn't already exist as a 25Live contact.
  • "Yes" if you do want a new contact created in 25Live if an imported section's associated instructor doesn't already exist as a 25Live contact.

Faculty Email Indicator

Choose one of these options:

  • “No-Use the below Email Type” if you want to choose the email type entered in the “Email Type” configuration setting (see below) to identify the email in the SIS used for all imported instructors.
  • “Yes - Use the preferred indicator” if you want each instructor’s preferred email type to be used.

Email Type

(displayed if you selected “No-Use the below Email Type” above)

Enter the email type you want to use to identify instructor email addresses.

Create Instructor

Choose one of these options:

  • “No” if you don’t want a new primary instructor contact created in 25Live for imported sections that don’t already have a primary instructor contact.
  • “Yes” if you do want a new primary instructor contact created in 25Live for imported sections that don’t already have a primary instructor contact. A primary instructor contact is created only if no contact exists in 25Live with an email address matching that in your SIS.
